Gather aether
Build a siphon on crystal-bearing ground. Each harvest brings your escape closer while weakening the tile beneath it.
The ground is your resource.
And your greatest risk.
A turn-based strategy game on a floating island that crumbles beneath your machines. Gather aether, outmanoeuvre rivals and launch your Ark before the ground gives way.

The idea behind Hexfall
The ground you stand on is the resource you need to leave. Harvest too eagerly and your own island starts to disappear. Wait too long and a rival may launch first.
Hexfall turns that tension into an open, turn-based battlefield. See the danger, plan a route and undo your own actions until you end your turn.
Three decisions, every turn
Build a siphon on crystal-bearing ground. Each harvest brings your escape closer while weakening the tile beneath it.
Watch cracks and wind forecasts. A doomed tile falls at the end of the next round, taking everything on it down.
Spend aether on another machine or save it for the Ark. Start the engines, protect your escape and hold for two turns.
Small machines. Different jobs.
A fast winged skimmer. Claims ground, reaches crystals and gets clear of danger.
An armoured walker. Holds a line and hits rival machines hard.
A tracked borer that attacks the terrain. Break the ground beneath a rival instead of trading blows.
Your airship, income and recruitment point. Keep it safe: it is also your way out.

Three ways to play
12 islands, starting with four guided lessons. Learn the machines, harvesting and the timing of an escape.
Choose island size, AI difficulty, rivals and weather. Copy a seed to return to the same battlefield.
A shared island every UTC day, with local results. Return for a new layout and a different decision to make.
Before you begin
The current version is single-player, against AI rivals. Skirmishes let you choose up to three rivals, island size, difficulty and weather.
Bank 40 aether, start your Ark’s engines and hold for two turns to lift off. You can also win as the last player standing. A match that reaches 30 rounds is decided by score.
It works offline. The UTC date gives everyone the same island seed and weather. Results are kept locally; there is currently no online leaderboard.
The game is in development and a public Android release has not been announced. Email hello@boiledeggs.studio to ask about early access.
